The Crab Cake Annapolitan is a pan-seared lump crab cake with a special blend of herbs and spices based on a local 1890's receipe. Available as an appetizer, a sandwich (served on a kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, onion, tarter sauce, lemon, and a side of fries, West Indian slaw and a pickle), or a dinner platter (two cakes served with tartar sauce, lemon, and sides of steamed vegetables and rice with black bean sauce, Pusser's "twisted loaf" and butter).
While the crab meat is mostly broken up (like you would expect with backfin), the crab has a really good flavor. The cake has a nice bready texture and flavor. Spicing is subtle, there to accompany the crab flavor and not overpower it. Not really too much more to say about this one -- it's just a really good crab cake. Order it and you won't be disappointed!
