The crab cake sandwich is a jumbo lump crab cake served with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a kaiser roll served alongside potato salad. You can also order the crab cake platter, which comes as either a single or a double, served with smashed red bliss potatoes and a vegetable skewer. Sandwich wasn't served with cocktail, tartar, or lemon wedge. Dinner platter may come with some of these items. Ask your server if you need 'em!
As promised, there are definitely large chunks of crab in the crab cake. A nice bready texture, keeping in line with the Maryland style. Binder has predominate mustard and mayonnaise flavors, with cut up green onions mixed in. Not much by way of spices.
Overall, this crab cake was just average. The crab meat didn't have too much flavor on it's own, and while you could sense the bready texture, you just didn't tase much, if any, of the breading. As mentioned, the predominate flavors are onion, mustard, and mayonnaise. Onions offer burts of flavor, and end up being a bit too strong, which isn't good when the other flavors are kind of mute. Could use a little bit more diversity on the spicing.
I will say, if you do happen to make your way over there, try the rosemary fries. They're delicious!
