Shoreline Seafood Regular Backfin Crab Cake

Shoreline Seafood has been a local area landmark since 1981, providing fresh seafood for sale as well as food for carryout.  While the building isn't much to look at, walk inside and you'll experience an unexpected seafood market.  Everything from crabs to a wide assortment of fish to clams, mussels, and other fish you never thought you'd come face to face with. Certain items can be steamed onsite, or you can take it home and cook it yourself.  They do have steamers and seasonings available for sale, in case you decide to do some work yourself.  Carryout items cover a wide range of seafood delicacies, from sandwiches to soups to seafood salads.  On our visit, the backfin crab cake sandwich was on the lunch special board, so we decided to check it out.  How was it?  Read on and see for yourself!

Boatyard Grill

The Boatyard Grill is located over in the Eastport section of Annapolis, a sleepy little neighborhood frequented by sailors and populated by marinas.  Since 2001, the Boatyard Grill has focused on providing quality food that will keep you coming back again and again.  Their reputation is so good that Michelle Obama made a visit back in 2010, saying that their crab cakes were the best she's ever had.  So do they live up to the claim?  Read on and find out!

Pusser's Caribbean Grille

Pusser's Caribbean Grille is located right on Annapolis Harbor in the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott hotel.  Their focus is on featuring high quality, authentic Caribbean cuisine that is moderately priced and freshly prepared, along with some local Annapolis favorites.  You can find Pusser's in locations other than Annapolis, such as Florida, Puerto Rico, and various outputs in the British Virgin Islands.  We all know that crab cakes are an Annapolis favorite, so how were they?  Let's find out!

Cantlers Riverside Inn Jumbo Lump Crab Cake

Cantlers Riverside Inn has been serving fine seafood to the Annapolis area since 1974.  Watermen, boaters, and toursists alike can agree that this establishment is the embodiment of a Maryland seafood house -- no frills, just good food.  A little bit hard to find, this place has a perfect perch on the waters of Edgewater, not far from Annapolis harbor.  They have a solid steamed crab, but what we really want to know about are their crab cakes.  Well let's find out!
