There are all sorts of crab options on the menu, too many to list. On review is known as the #53, which is just the crab cake. The platter is $3 more. Crab cake size is 1/2 pound (8 oz.). Comes served with lettuce, tomato, crackers, lemon and cocktail sauce.
This is a saucy crab cake with big lumps of crab. The crab has a decent flavor, but not the flavor you get from Maryland Blue crabs. Spicing is kept to a minimum as to not overpower the flavor of the crab. Only comes broiled, otherwise the cake would fall apart in the fryer.
Overall, the crab cake has a decent flavor, but is probably a bit too saucy for its own good (which just might mean it needed to be cooked a bit longer). The crab itself has a nice, meaty flavor. Could also possibly punch up the spicing a bit more, or offer shakers of Old Bay at the table so you can add your own. Unless you are expecting Maryland Blue crab to be used, you won't be disappointed by what you get. Also available by mail order so your friends can see what they're missing by not being here.
EDIT: As it turns out, they do have shakers of Old Bay available, you just need to know to ask for them!
